Tilt
How to play Tilt
Five letter tiles sit on a little tray with a few blocks. Their letters spell one everyday word, and only that word. Swipe (or use the arrow buttons or your keyboard's arrow keys) to tilt the tray, and every tile slides as far as it can, until it hits the edge, a block or another tile.
Get all five tiles onto the red dashed row, in the right order, so they spell the word. A tile turns green when it's on its right square, which helps you work out the word as you go.
Every finish earns a star. Do it within three tilts of the best for two stars, or in the fewest tilts possible for three. Undo is free: only the tilts in your finished route count. Stuck on the word? The hint shows it.
Tips
- Tiles can't pass each other. To swap two tiles round, send one off round a block.
- A tile stops against a block, so blocks are your handholds: use them to park a tile where you want it.
- Watch the green: a tile that lights up is on its right square, so you know that letter's place in the word.
Questions
Is Tilt free?
Yes. It's free to play in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to download and no sign-up.
When is there a new tray?
Every day at midnight, your time. Everyone gets the same tray, so you can compare tilts with friends.
Can I play more than once a day?
The daily tray is one go each, though you can undo as much as you like. Once you're done, you can practise on earlier days' trays.
Do you keep any of my data?
No. Your games and stats are saved only on your own device, in your browser, and there's no account. It's free because it shows adverts from Google; see privacy and cookies for how those work.
